Flood in a Columbus Basement

Grossly contaminated water from flooding requires immediate action by a professional. The water level got as high as 13 inches in this Columbus property, and we were extracting it with our truck-mounted power pump along with several portable sump pumps. The Before Photo was shot "during" the water removal effort so that we could move forward with the drying stage and mitigate storm damages to the structure. Drying out fast is a key to preventing microbial growth. The After Photo depicted the bare concrete and "gutted" and removed non-salvageable sheetrock. Several air movers and an LGR dehumidifier are still stationed to remove the lingering moisture. The wall cavities can now be sprayed with an antifungal agent as our SERVPRO team prepared the affected area for the impending rebuild.
