Mold Damage – Columbus Laundry Room
Mold damage in this Columbus laundry room got a foothold behind the washer and dryer when a drain line repeatedly backed up allowing moisture to wick up on the drywall. Eventually, the conditions of moisture and darkness spawned the mold growth. We had to remove the appliances and have the drain line cleaned. With the source repaired, we turned to cleaning up the water and mold damage. We needed to cut out portions of the drywall to sufficiently dry and treat the interior of the walls. We used commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process. All the affected surfaces were then treated with an antimicrobial agent.
